Well, that answer is simple- No. We do feel pretty damn good about our accomplishments, though. I mean, wouldn't you? Someone from the Better Connecticut team reached out to us, thank you Melissa Cole! She saw our instagram and said she loved the look of our store (it is pretty cute) :) I was super nervous and wanted to prepare every little bit that we could but that's difficult without knowing what we were going to be asked. Stephani kept telling me not to worry, it would all be fine (she didn't help my anxious feelings of not being prepared). oh, I forgot to mention that The Studio was only like 1/4 of the way done when we scheduled the interview- SHIT we better hustle! We got our little butts to work a couple nights a week- until about 11pm (lots of singing, dancing, and swearing helped) and got MOST of it done. Isn't a workshop suppose to always be a work-in-progress? Ours always will be.....#hotmessmomexpress Raising tiny humans is exhausting and leaves little to no time for anything else.
THE INTERVIEW- Melissa and a cameraman came into the store and we practically peed our pants- with excitement and nervousness. They set up microphones on us- we had no idea it would be professional! #holyshit I was sweating at this point and we all know that stress sweat is NOT GOOD! We stood like weirdos not knowing what to do with our hands or our bodies- like should we hold each other? Prom pose, maybe? I didn't even look at the camera once because I wanted to pretend he wasn't there. We were asked how long we knew each other and how Featherly started and somehow we went on and on and on about knowing each other as children- it wasn't that exciting so I don't know why we talked about it for so long- a lot was cut out for the tv segment- thank goodness! The camera followed us around the store as we talked about a few different items and then we went over to The Studio and focused on our parties. The interview went well- we had a couple stupid movements that we questioned later- but ya live and ya learn, maybe next time we're 'famous' we wont' knock our knees and bang our fists like dummies..
The segment was great! Here's the link:
Needless to say, we are thrilled with our progress thus far and we have so many ideas for the future and love all the input we receive daily!
& we are totally famous in our own little way <3
Cheers to Featherly (and coffee and bagels bc we couldn't live without them)
Much love to you!
